Only the highest grade 304 and 201 (in non-food contact areas) stainless steel components are used in the construction of Simply Stainless. No 430 grade or galvanised steel is used. All worktops, legs, and undershelves are manufactured from 1.2mm gauge stainless. The legs are made from 38mm round tube with a polished finish utilising machined collars to suit and bar frames from 30mm fully welded square tube. All of our stainless steel product is manufactured exclusively in our ISO9001-2015 steel fabrication factory.
Worktops and undershelves are all 1.2mm thick stainless steel with a No. 4 brushed finish. By utilising a 1.2mm gauge in all construction (including the undershelves) our system provides strength and durability. Using the same gauge throughout construction is not an industry norm. However, we at Simply Stainless know, that in doing so, it will make a massive difference for you in the longevity of your product and ensure you are receiving the best value stainless steel kitchen product.
A 3mm zincanneal core is fixed to the underside of the standard stainless steel work tables, which is then coated with a marine grade protective paint. For sink units, we use a 1.2mm stainless steel reinforcing channel, which ensures that units in wet areas are a full stainless steel construction.
Our Product Range reflects our investment in high quality materials, CNC equipment, staff training, system development and quality control measures. Our Lifetime Warranty is a testament to that investment, as our product is built to last.

Cleaning on stainless steel varies due to different applications.
Our Cleaning Guide details how best to maintain your Simply Stainless product in mild, moderate, and severe environments in addition to specific cleaning methods. Our stainless steel is machine polished and protective coated to enhance the appearance of the stainless steel and prevent corrosion. If pitting or tea staining are left on the surface they will cause corrosion, which may result in irreversible damage.
- Bleaches containing hypochlorite will attack stainless steel and cause pitting and staining.
- Certain foods, when left for prolonged periods, can cause pitting and corrosion. Examples are citric fruit juices, salt, vinegar, mustard, pickles, and mayonnaise (even used teabags can leave hard to remove stains).
- Silver dip cleaners contain acids which attack stainless steel and leave a permanent stain.
- Muratic acid which is sometimes used with grout around title and stone etc.
- Strong acids can damage stainless steel (i.e., photographic developing liquids or denture cleanser), if they come in contact with the stainless steel.
